It isn't the Nikon D2X!

The word photography means to "paint with light". The main thing that separates one pro from the next, is how they see light and how they compose an image. The top guys (and gals) know the subtle techniques to draw your eye to where they want you to look, as well as how to elicit an emotion from the viewer.

The main reason professionals use top of the line equipment, is that these cameras are built heavy to withstand the day to day use that they are put through. Settings can be changed on the fly without going through a lot of menus, and top of the line equipment is more dependable.

In this digital age, a lot of people think that all you have to do is buy a digital camera, and you're ready to go. The truth is, the principles of photography have never changed. If you want to be good, you have to know how to use f-stops and shutter speeds, but the most important principles are still vision and composition.

No matter how sophisticated cameras become, they still can't tell how the human eye wants to interpret the scene.
